of wedding photography is the more common of the two styles. The photographer is more "present"
in his approach. The results of this style are more "portrait" in appearance, reflecting the main events in a more formally
posed scene. Most photographers using this style are knowledgeable about how to pose their subject, as well as
organizing groups of people in good composition. These images are typical in albums or framed as gifts for friends
and relatives. Typically shot in medium format, usually on color negative film, individual photographers may offer to
shoot a few black and white for an additional fee. The quantity of shots will range from 100 on up, including some "Candid" shots.Photo packages are created consisting of Bridal and/or Parent albums, sometimes including
additional prints and enlargements. The photographer usually keeps the negatives, but on occasion will sell them as part
of the "Package".
The Photojournalist Style
of wedding photography is capturing moments that are spontaneous, unposed and sensitive
to the emotion of that moment. This stlye is candid, documentary, having an artistic flair in the absence of formal pose.
The photographer usually shoots two or three times the amount of images that the traditional photographer shoots.
The goal is to capture the day with minimum interferance. The photographer remains unnoticed, but is there at the
right time! The concentration in photojournalistic photography is in creativity, artistry and spontaneity not on albums and
poses. The quantity of shots will
be 200 or more!( Total shots to be decided prior to wedding day.)
Wedding Photography is more than pictures and poses...... it's perspective and emotion too !
